ELIGIBILITY

Festival for culture, democracy and discourse

In 2024, Austria finds itself in a super election year characterised by a high degree of polarisation. Based on the powerful, humanistically charged term "resistance", the positively characterised counter-place "Wiednerstand" is being created on Wieden - a culture and democracy festival that is committed to political art, constructive debate and the achievements of democracy. Special places in the district invite visitors to make spatial discoveries and engage in low-threshold dialogue.

With delicacies from Sekt Comptoir Szigeti from the Freihausviertel.

Wiednerstand is an intervention by Burstein und Beck - Kulturelle Raumentwicklung in co-operation with: District council Wieden
