The festive concert is organised by the International Chopin Society in Vienna under the patronage of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Vienna in the beautiful ambience of the Ehrbar Hall, which was opened by Emperor Franz Joseph some 150 years ago.
Works by Frédéric Chopin, Johann Strauss and Fritz Kreisler are at the centre of this concert.
Chopin celebrated with his Piano Concerto in E Minor, op. 11, an international success in Vienna. The matinée will be opened with this very piece by pianist and international Chopin prizewinner Natalia Rehling together with members of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. These members, under the direction of Kirill Kobanchenko, have established themselves as Platform K + K and have been creating unforgettable chamber music experiences in the world's greatest concert halls for many years.
The universal power of the musical language works in international dialogue for peace, freedom and international understanding and achieves the impossible. Part of the ticket proceeds will be donated to the BONsurpriseorganisation, which supports families of children with cancer in Vienna.
The International Chopin Society in Vienna, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Vienna and BONsurprise are delighted to present the Viennese melange with Chopin, offering audiences a unique experience combining art, diplomacy, and history.
This unforgettable highlight can be extended after the concert in the buffet room of the Ehrbar-Palais!
Organised by the International Chopin Society Vienna.
