The Vienna Piano Forum invites you to the final of its international piano competition for outstanding amateur pianists.
The competition is open to musicians from all over the world who play the piano to a high artistic standard, but do not do so professionally. We welcome people from a variety of musical backgrounds – from former students of conservatoires to pianists who have been taught privately and have developed their playing over many years with great dedication.
The final round will be judged by a panel of professors from leading music universities and is held under the patronage of the Rector of the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna.
A total prize fund of €4,000 is on offer for the winners, as well as several special prizes, including a prize worth €1,000 for the rediscovery of the composer Joseph Woelfl, who was active in Vienna (donated by the International Joseph Woelfl Society).
Full details of the competition and the terms and conditions can be found at www.wienerklavierforum.com.
