After many performances at the Vienna State Opera over the last 20 years, Argentinian tenor Marcelo Alvarez is finally back in Vienna - for an extraordinary concert!
Since the beginning of his career, Vienna has always had a special place in Marcelo Alvarez's heart. He has played his greatest roles there (Cavaradossi, Werther, Don José ...; at the Opera Ball), but he has never given a concert ... until now!
He will perform opera arias by Puccini, Massenet etc. The second part will be dedicated to zarzuela and Argentinian tango, a repertoire that he particularly loves and cultivates with enthusiasm.
The Argentinian Marcelo Álvarez is one of the most sought-after tenors internationally. His great talent, discovered by Giuseppe Di Stefano, led him to Europe, where he made his debut in La sonnambula on Teatro La Fenice in Venice. The tenor has also been a guest at the world's most renowned theatres, including the Metropolitan Operathat Royal Opera House Covent Gardenwhich Opéra national de Paristhe Vienna State Opera, the Teatro Real in Madrid and the Teatro alla Scala in Milan.
