The Shoah Songbook is an ongoing project of the Likht Ensemble, das Musik aus den Ghettos des Zweiten Weltkriegs erforscht und zur Aufführung bringt. Die Werke kreisen um Themen wie Frühling, Träume, Sehnsucht und Widerstand und verbinden lyrische Schönheit mit feiner Ironie und tief bewegender Wahrheit. Das Programm wird durch wissenschaftliche Vorträge von Spencer Kryzanowski und Jaclyn Grossman über Vokalmusik aus den Nachlässen des Exilarte Zentrums sowie über das Wirken von Exilkomponist:innen in Kanada ergänzt.
