"Birds against Hurricanes" is an unusual and exciting trio formation that has long been taking shape in the mind of band leader Alex Pinter. Inspired by the music and line-up of Anouar Brahem's album "Le voyage de Sahar", the guitarist wanted to combine his own compositions with music he had learnt from various tours with the band.

The band was able to realise this with the unusual combination of guitar, baritone guitar and ukulele together with accordion and piano.

The ORF has also taken notice of this unusual trio. The debut album ":fluegge:" was released in April 2019 as an Ö1 edition (Album of the Month April).
