THIS CONCERT will present a selection of works by French composers who gave an enormous richness to the European understanding of music at that time and at the same time reflected the rest of the world.
The works interpreted by Gökçen Remes and Altuğ Tekin move from French Romanticism to Modernism and bear witness to the musical developments of the pre-, inter- and post-war periods and the changes in the harmonic, melodic and rhythmic aspects of music. The key words here are romanticism, modernism, impressionism, les six, neoclassicism, avant-garde and eclecticism.
