Nobody can escape THE climate crisis. Not even Schubert. In their song recital, musicians Jean Beers, Simon Öggl and Max Bell combine the old with the new. Songs from Franz Schubert to Alma Mahler are placed in the context of our time through new interpretative approaches and electronic arrangements, posing questions, images and solutions to the climate crisis. The idealised images of nature from the Romantic period meet the harsh reality of their transience in the 21st century; the naked emperors of yesteryear meet their idle successors: at climate conferences.
And a climate scientist spins her tune - "nobody likes to hear it ...". She asks: "Where to put a lime tree when the earth is burning?"
