HALKBILIM DANCE ENSEMBLE

A potpourri of folk dances and folk songs with authentic costumes and instruments from different regions of Turkey is presented.

At today's event, we will follow in the footsteps of a journey that began in 1964. This journey was not only a labour movement, but also brought with it a strong cultural memory with melodies, dances and oral traditions that reached the heart of Europe.
On this special concert evening, the folklore dance ensemble of Anadolu University will present a medley of folk songs and dances from different regions of Turkey with authentic costumes and instruments.
In Vienna, the centre of classical music, the Yunus Emre Chamber Orchestra will perform the unique works of the famous composer Mozart under the direction of conductor Murat Sümer. In this special concert hall, the interpretations of state artist and pianist Gülsin Onay and pianist Oytun Eren will be heard as soloists.
