A special jewel of the festival Classical Sounds are the masterclasses in which young talents - instrumentalists on piano, violin, violoncello, flute, oboe, clarinet and guitar - learn from renowned music professors at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, the Mozarteum, the Music and Arts Private University of the City of Vienna, the Anton Bruckner Private University and the Joseph Haydn Conservatory of the Province of Burgenland. Not only technical skills are taught here, but also the art of interpretation and the ability to convey emotions through sound. It is a place of inspiration and creative exchange where musicality blossoms.

Another highlight of the programme is the competition for up-and-coming talent. After the competition in the piano, violin, violoncello, flute, oboe, clarinet and guitar categories, each winner is given the unique opportunity to present their skills in their own concert in the Ehrbar Saal - the place where countless musical masterpieces first saw the light of day. The acoustics of the Ehrbar Saal are legendary - a true listening pleasure for musicians and listeners alike.
