Programme

The exact programme is yet to be announced. Traditional Korean choral compositions and international folk song medleys are planned.

The Rose Choir was founded on 10 May 2018.
The name "Rose" comes from the school flower of the Hyundae Cheongun High School in Ulsan, which the members look back on with pride. The choir consists of 43 alumni of this school, who meet every Thursday to rehearse together.
With a love of music and the aim of achieving harmony and unity through choral singing, the Rose Choir regularly performs at local and national events - including the KBS Olymp Choir Festival and the Haeoreum Choir Festival.
The choir not only promotes musical growth, but is also actively involved in the social sphere and in the cultural development of the region.

Sunhwa Jun successfully completed her vocal studies at Yeungnam University as well as a master's degree in the same subject and is currently studying for a doctorate in choral conducting and orchestra. She has performed as a soloist in oratorios such as The creationMozart's Coronation Mass and Beethoven's 9th Symphony. She has sung leading roles in operas such as La Traviata, La Bohème, Don Giovanni, The Magic Flute Sunhwa Jun is the director of the Hyundai Opera Company and conductor of the Rose Choir and the DIVA soloist ensembles. She is also a visiting professor at the University of Ulsan.

Hyunae Kim: Graduated in singing from Seoul National University, followed by a master's degree and concert exam in singing/opera at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin and music theory studies in Dresden. Leading roles in operas such as Così fan tutte, Le Nozze di Figaro, Carmen, La Bohème, Madama Butterfly and others; also active as a soloist in oratorios by Pergolesi, Bach and Handel. Currently a lecturer at Kookmin University, Daegu Catholic University.

Jinsung Kim studied singing at Kyunghee University and graduated from the State Academy of Music in Rimini, Italy. He also completed a masterclass with Gabriella Morigi. As a versatile artist, he is a presenter at Ulsan MBC ("Kim Jin-Song Theatre"), performed as a soloist with the USP Chamber Orchestra and sang the national anthem at the opening of the K-League 2024. He gained stage experience in leading and supporting roles in musicals such as Cats, The Lion King, The Sound of Music and original Korean musicals. He is the director of the RUHEN Ensembles.
