This matinee on 21 June not only celebrates the beginning of summer, but also the birth of the Ehrphilharmonie Wien. Under the direction of Andrea Götsch, musicians from a wide variety of backgrounds come together who are either being trained in Vienna or are already active in orchestras. They are all united by an inspiring passion for music-making. The ensemble, which has been specially adapted in size to the Ehrbar Saal and in which each individual musician's personality comes to the fore, is characterised by an extremely broad repertoire. During this matinee, the Ehrphilharmonie will accompany the audience on a musical journey from France to the Czech Republic. Works by Claude Debussy, Georges Bizet and Antonín Dvořák are on the programme. All concertgoers will also be able to take part in a prize draw. Five people will be drawn by lot and - in consultation with the Ehrphilharmonie Wien - will be given a solo concert or orchestral piece of their choice.
Organised by Andrea Götsch.
