Women's love and life and the Songs after Wilhelm Meister thematise various facets of love and farewell. The repertoire is rounded off by the first three songs from Strauss' Brentano songs complemented by the concert arias. The highlight of the concert is the concert arias Popoli di Tessaglia and Ah non sai qual pena sia which Mozart composed for the virtuoso soprano Aloyisa Lange. "But every year a weaver must sing", Mozart wrote to his father in 1778 about the first of these arias. In view of the demands placed on the voice by virtuosity and vocal range up to the three-stroke gˈˈˈˈ it requires a special vocal disposition.
