PianoTotal

Black & white in a duet - when two brothers get going

Martin Ivanov piano

Programme

The concert programme will be presented on the Website of the pianist.

PianoTotal is a four-part concert series that showcases the versatility of piano playing. Each concert sheds light on different perspectives of music - as a composer, as a musician and as a performer.

The first concert will focus on the compositions of Martin Ivanov and the creative process of a musician. The second concert is dedicated to Johann Sebastian Bach and the technical and emotional challenges of his works. The third concert brings together Martin Ivanov and his brother as partners for music for four hands, combined with humorous musical interludes in the style of Victor Borge. In the fourth concert, the virtuosity of Franz Liszt takes centre stage, with a special focus on his Hungarian Rhapsodies and his teaching methods.

The aim of this concert series is not only to make the audience look back and reflect on what they have experienced, but to leave each concert with a completely new, profound understanding of music. Each concert is an emotional journey in which not only is music played, but the listener is taken along with powerful examples and passionate interpretations. The music is not just played - stories are told that bring the music to life and fill the audience with inspiration and new perspectives for each concert to come.
