Few composers wrote such deeply moving music as Franz Schubert - and in contrast to Beethoven, he was a "quiet revolutionary" who revealed his inner emotional world. In this portrait of the composer, we approach the Romantic composer through his piano music, his song writing and, last but not least, through letters and literary texts.
