Professor Ju-Eun Lee ...

... born in South Korea, attended the Seoul High School of the Arts and Yonsei University. She later transferred to the Munich University of Music and Theatre in Germany, where she graduated with highest honours. She continued her studies at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg (Austria), where she obtained a master's degree as a soloist. She then returned to Munich to complete her masterclass and piano studies.
Ms Lee has achieved numerous international competition successes, including third prize at the 2006 "Jaén" International Piano Competition in Italy, second prize at the Calabria Piano Competition in Italy and third prize at the Prix Amadeo International Competition in Germany. In South Korea, she won first prize at the 6th National Chopin Competition and the Kumho Young Musicians Competition and received a medal at the Isang Yun International Competition in 2010.
Following her debut concert as a Kumho Young Artist, she has performed with numerous orchestras, including the Changwon Philharmonic Orchestra (South Korea), the Jeju Province Symphony Orchestra (South Korea), the Kharkiv Philharmonic Orchestra (Ukraine) and the Bavaria Philharmonic (Germany). She has also performed with orchestras from Spain, Romania, Italy, Belgium and Austria. In November 2017, she performed Beethoven's "Emperor Concerto" together with the Fort Collins Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Wes Kenney.
A former assistant professor at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater München (Germany), Ms Lee has been a professor of piano at Changwon National University in South Korea since 2013.
