"We want to show musical diversity - across eras, genders and styles
... We are fascinated by how different musical languages reflect and enrich each other. In the end, it's always about what unites us: sound, emotion and shared experience."

The 2026 New Year's Concert in the Ehrbar Saal is a New Year's concert of the composers and the first New Year's concert of the new "house orchestra", the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. The Ehrphilharmonie Wien was founded by Andrea Götsch - she is a member of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and founding member of La Philharmonica (La Philharmonica played the New Year's Concert 2025) - founded, spurred on by strong artistic synergies with the director of the Ehrbar Saal, Cathrin Chytil. The Ehrphilharmonie Wien consists of 24 musicians. Under the baton of Andrea Götsch and reinforced by pianist Mitra Kotte, the Ehrphilharmonie Wien will draw a musical arc from 1759 to the present day in its programme for New Year's Day, combining historical works with contemporary compositions and thus giving the year 2026 a worthy start with a New Year's concert characterised by openness, quality and artistic development.
Organised by Ehrbar Hall by C. Bechstein.Tickets at € 85,- (Cat. 1) and € 55,- (Cat. 2, wheelchair space).
