Freie Kunst ...
... sees itself as a fluid composition ranging from chamber music to orchestra, under the direction and programming of conductor Aleksei Mikhailenko. Mikhailenko's programming is characterised by a high degree of modernity and creativity and thus appeals to an open and young concert audience. From film music and contemporary compositions to music from Japanese anime productions, the works span a wide geographical range and also cover different genres. Mikhaylenko, also a master of stage magic, does not shy away from using elements of sensuality in his concerts. He thus creates multidimensional works of art by working with light shows, hundreds of LED candles and perhaps soon also with fragrances.
With his rich and diverse musical background, Aleksei Mikhailenko is known for his interdisciplinary collaborations, innovative approaches and conducting renowned orchestras and projects. Apart from his successful career as a soloist and principal clarinettist with the Estonian Festival Orchestra under the direction of Paavo Järvi and at the Baltic Sea Philharmonic under the baton of Kristjan Järvi, Aleksei Mikhailenko has been a passionate interpreter and conductor with orchestras such as the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, the Danish National Symphony Orchestra, the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, the George Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra and the Gran Canaria Philharmonic Orchestra to name just a few.
