Fantasía bética
Fancy a short detour to Andalusia, the sherry-growing region or the realm of flamenco?
Never has music achieved such a diverse, colourful expression
was Claude Debussy's judgement on Albéniz's late Romantic masterpiece, the piano suite Iberia.
Manuel de Fallas Fantasía bética (a work commissioned by Artur Rubinstein!), on the other hand, takes us back to the former Roman province on Spanish soil. Last but not least, Robert Schumann describes his eight musical novelettes "Fun" or also "extremely endearing".
The pianist is Laura Mota Pello, who not only won the Hungarian Special Prize at the Concours Géza Anda 2024 in Zurich, but also the Hortense Anda Bursary Prize!
