Three ♭ - whether in E flat major or C minor - solemn and heroic, or deeply sad and pathetic. Humanist ideals, Masonic ideologies, values of the French Revolution - a multitude of symbols and hidden musical messages. In socio-political terms, the works in this programme stand in a huge field of tension: between enlightenment and restoration, reason and emotion, power and humanity. At the same time, they are among the greatest masterpieces that this era has produced.

With this concert JKO plays Macht und Menschlichkeit (“Power and Humanity”) the YoungArtsOrchestra celebrates its seventh anniversary - and at the same time the beginning of a new chapter. With Sophie Druml and Tobias Treitner, a tried-and-tested team of soloist and conductor continues its inspiring collaboration.
