This extraordinary concert celebrates a highly emotionally charged triangular relationship: Wagner, who had an indelible impact on another generation of composers, Henze, who orchestrated the Wesendonck Lieder, and the wonderful Bachmann, Henze's lifelong muse and sometime "wife". All three are united by the relationship between music and language.
