Works

CARL MARIA VON WEBER Overture to the opera "Euryanthe", op. 81

LUDWIG VAN BEETHOVEN Piano Concerto No. 3 in C minor, op. 37

ROBERT SCHUMANN Symphony No. 2 in C major, op. 61

Following the great concert success in February 2023, Sophie Druml will once again take to the stage of the Ehrbar Saal with the JungeKünsteOrchester under the direction of Tobias Treitner. They will present Beethoven's Third Piano Concerto, in which the boundaries between Viennese Classicism and Romanticism increasingly merge around 1800. Both musically and thematically, Weber's "Euryanthe" 23 years later is already fully in the mould of Romanticism. When Robert Schumann wrote his C major Symphony in 1845 in the midst of the Romantic era, he was already looking back to the works of Mozart, Beethoven and, above all, Johann Sebastian Bach.
