During his long career, Joe Hisaishi has worked extensively on music for films, anime, computer games, television and advertising. Another highlight of his career was the 1998 Paralympic Games in Nagano, which he accompanied with music. Hisaishi's best-known works can be heard in cult films by Takeshi Kitano and in cartoons by Hayao Miyazaki, among others.
