CONDUCTOR AND CLARINETIST Alexey Mikhaylenko
ENSEMBLE Free Art
FREIE KUNST sees itself as a fluid composition ranging from chamber music to orchestra, under the direction and programming of conductor Alexey Mikhaylenko. Mikhaylenko's programming is characterised by a high degree of modernity and creativity and thus appeals to an open and young concert audience. From film music and contemporary compositions to music from Japanese anime productions, the works span a wide geographical range and cover different genres. Mikhaylenko, also a master of stage magic, does not shy away from using elements of sensuality in his concerts. He creates multidimensional works of art by working with light shows, hundreds of LED candles and perhaps soon also with fragrances.
With his rich and diverse musical background, Alexey Mikhaylenko is known for his interdisciplinary collaborations, innovative approaches and conducting renowned orchestras and projects. Apart from his successful career as a soloist and principal clarinettist with the Estonian Festival Orchestra under the baton of Paavo Järvi and the Baltic Sea Philharmonic under the baton of Kristjan Järvi, Alexey Mikhaylenko has worked as a passionate performer and conductor with orchestras such as the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, the Danish National Symphony Orchestra, the RSO Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, the George Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra and the Gran Canaria Philharmonic Orchestra - to name but a few.
