Tobias Kochseder is the rising star in the local accordion sky.

The young ensemble from Graz continues the long tradition of the Argentinian "orquesta tipica", which filled the dance halls of Buenos Aires in the 1930s and 1940s. With pieces from the early "golden age of tango", works by Astor Piazzolla, Horacio Salgan and other tango legends, through to compositions from the 21st century, the repertoire spans almost 100 years of tango history. The instrumentation, an extended form of the long-established tango quintet, combines the best aspects of small chamber music and the large orchestra in a compact format.
