The LT.art Vienna Festival presents three exceptional young talents from Lithuania: Soprano Elena Sverdiolaitė (DE), baritone Tomas Kildišius (DE) and pianist Emilija Rožukaitė (USA). The programme includes a variety of different musical styles, including romantic pieces and Lithuanian cultural heritage. It also includes works by Mykolas Konstantinas Čiurlionis, whom Lithuania will honour in 2025 on his 150th birthday. As Lithuania's most important artist, Čiurlionis made significant cultural contributions in the fields of painting, music and literature. The compiled musical programme is dedicated to themes such as love, nature and storytelling. This year's festival theme "(Un)productive Rituals" focuses on everyday and cyclical practices that are valued in communities as places of relaxation, togetherness, play and celebration. Even if these rituals are not always economically efficient, their cultural significance is enormous. Since 2019, LT.art Vienna has been promoting artistic exchange by presenting Lithuanian artists and their work in Vienna.
Organised by the Lithuanian Community in Austria. The project is supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania, the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania and the City of Vienna.
