The renowned mezzo-soprano Michaela Selinger is one of the most internationally most sought-after singers in her field, with successful performances on opera and concert stages. She was honoured with the Eberhard Wächter Prize and is the winner of the Vienna Belvedere Competition. She was a member of the Vienna State Opera from 2005 to 2010. She is particularly devoted to interpreting songs from the post-romantic period by composers such as Mittler, Weigl, Eisler and Wellesz, accompanied by pianist Claus-Christian Schuster, founder of the worldwide recognised Vienna Schubert Trio and the Altenberg Trio Vienna. Claus Christian Schuster was awarded the Austrian Cross of Honour for Science and Art in 1999. and the Robert Schumann Prize.
