The first concert will commemorate the 200th anniversary of the birth of this protagonist of Bohemian music with a performance of Bedřich Smetana's famous piano trio. The Trio Bohemo from Prague will perform this chamber music icon alongside a much less frequently played work, Lonely Angel, by Pēteris Vasks. The second half of the evening is dedicated to the piano quintet by Johannes Brahms.
