The Vienna Piano Summer Festival is organised annually by the Vienna Piano School and invites pianists from all over the world to show their skills on stage.

The second part of the festival will be characterised by the international piano competition "Wiener Klassik". 65 selected pianists aged 7-32 will be invited to the second round in the Ehrbar Saal. Each participant will play a work of Viennese classical music, the rest of the programme is freely selectable. An international jury of experts will judge the performers and the best in each category will perform in the Musikverein's Gläserner Saal. The competition is being organised for the third time this year and, with over 250 entries from more than 50 countries last year, has quickly developed into an international event.
