Under the artistic direction of Andrea Götsch, the Ehrphilharmonie Wien presents a multi-faceted programme ranging from the romantic virtuosity of Chopin to a contemporary world premiere and the classical radiance of Schubert.
Natalia Rehling is one of the outstanding pianists of her generation. She received her training at renowned music academies in Germany and Austria, where she was recognised early on for her exceptional musicality and technical brilliance. The recipient of several international awards, she combines clarity, emotional depth and a fine stylistic sensibility in her playing. Her repertoire ranges from the poetic world of Chopin to the expressive soundscapes of modernism - always characterised by an unmistakable, personal expression.
A special event of the evening is the world premiere of the work by Yeison Buitrago Vargas, which was composed especially for this occasion. Vargas, known for his emotional tonal language and his innovative combination of tradition and modernity, has added an impressive new soundscape to the contemporary repertoire with this work. The second part will also feature Franz Schubert's Symphony No. 3 in D major, a work of youthful freshness and dance-like elegance that combines the lightness of Viennese Classicism with the melodic richness of Romanticism.
Organised by Andrea Götsch in cooperation with Ehrbar Saal by C. Bechstein. Tickets at € 45,-/35,-/20,-/10,- (Cat. 1/2/wheelchair/students and pupils under 27) in advance at eventjet.at (Link) and at the box office.
