It has become a wonderful tradition to give young accordionists the opportunity to play the accordion at the International Accordion Festival to provide a stage. Over the years, the event has established itself as an afternoon concert in the honourable Ehrbar Saal. Many talented musicians who learn the instrument in lessons with Ingrid Eder, Bojana Popovicki, Brigitte Rieger, Daniel Stratznig, Adolf Wutscher and Miloš Todorovski at the music schools of the City of Vienna will be available for you to hear on this afternoon.
The children and young people perform as soloists, make music in a chamber music ensemble or play in an accordion orchestra.
The programme ranges from old to new and offers tango, musette, pop, folk and film music - works by Bach, Scarlatti, John Williams, Richard Galliano and Astor Piazzolla are interpreted.
Organised by the dákkordeon club (Accordion Festival) in co-operation with Ehrbar Hall by C. Bechstein. Admission free: donation requested. Free choice of seats, reservations are unfortunately not possible.
