After receiving the first national prize for piano and chamber music at the age of sixteen, Elizabeth Sombart perfected her art in Buenos Aires with Bruno Leonardo Gelber. Her training is complemented by the expertise of great masters, including Peter Feuchtwanger in London, Hilde Langer-Rühl in Vienna and Sergio Celibidache at the University of Mainz. Inspired by the study of phenomenology in the discipline of music, she developed a phenomenological pedagogy on which the didactics of her piano school "Résonnance" is based.
She regularly performs at prestigious venues such as the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris, Carnegie Hall in New York, Wigmore Hall and Cadogan Hall in London, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Suntory Hall in Tokyo, Victoria Hall in Geneva and the Palau Hall in Barcelona.
As a chamber musician, she has already shared the stage with outstanding musicians such as Augustin Dumay, Patrick Gallois, Lluís Claret and Akiko Nakajima.
Elizabeth Sombart's oeuvre also includes a significant discography and videography. Numerous works dedicated to or dealing with her art have been and are regularly published.
